How it works

01

Add your child.

A name, an age and a few details, so the story is all about them.

02

Pick a theme.

Folk tales, animals, pirates, superheroes, friendship – or write your own, like “a dragon who is afraid of fire”.

03

Read together.

Along the way the story stops and asks what happens next. Pick an option, or make something up.

Tonight's story
A story for Alva

The moon who
lost its mitten

At the very edge of the forest, Alva found a tiny silver mitten. It was warm, as if someone had only just taken it off.

“That's mine,” said a voice from somewhere very, very high up.

What happens next?

Alva followed the shiny stones up the hill. At the top the moon was waiting, one cold hand tucked behind a cloud. “There it is,” it smiled.

The owl blinked slowly. “The moon hung too low over the forest last night and dropped it,” she whispered. “Throw it high enough and it will catch the mitten itself.”

“Who are you?” called Alva. It was quiet for a while. “I'm the moon,” the voice said at last, “and my fingers are so cold.”

An example. Choose what happens next – in the app you can also write your own choice.
